Yearbook FAQs

1. How much does a Roundup yearbook cost?

The regular price for the current Baylor Roundup yearbook is $100.  Click on the “order a yearbook” tab to purchase a book. The only time a discounted price is offered is when you make your senior portrait appointment with Lauren Studios, our official senior portrait vendor.

2. Do I have to purchase the yearbook to be in it?

No. All students who sit for their official yearbook portrait will be included. We hope to have as many students as possible in the yearbook regardless of their purchase decision, since you are a part of Baylor history.

3. Can I purchase my yearbook later?

You can purchase a yearbook any time during the academic year through May 1st by clicking on the order yearbook link.  Please note: There is no guarantee there will be additional yearbooks available the following academic year.

4. How will I be notified about portrait dates?
  • Freshman will take portraits during Freshman orientation in June & July.
  • Seniors will be notified through email when portrait appointments are available each semester.
  • Sophomores and Juniors should do the following to know when portraits are coming:
    • Watch for advertisements in the Baylor Lariat’s Morning Buzz for “pop-up sessions”
    • Check the “portraits” page on the Roundup website.
    • Follow us on our Facebook and Instagram.
    • Watch the Baylor calendar for updates to add to your personal calendar.
5. What if I missed the portrait dates?

If you are a Sophomore or Junior, you can come to any of our pop-up portrait sessions

After the last available senior appointment or sophomore/junior portrait session, there will no longer be an opportunity to take your portrait for the current academic year.

6. How much does it cost to get my portrait taken?

There is no cost to take your portrait.

7. What should I wear for my portrait?
  • Freshmen will be given a green Baylor polo to wear during their portrait during freshman orientation.
  • Sophomores and Juniors are encouraged, but not required, to wear Sunday best.
  • Seniors will be given dress recommendations through our professional photographers, Lauren Studios.
  • No hats or sunglasses will be permitted in the portraits.
8. Can I cancel my order if I purchased my yearbook during freshman orientation?

To cancel a yearbook order placed at freshman orientation you will need to mail the complete free freshman portrait package you received to Terri Evans, Dept of Student Media, One Bear Place 97330 Waco, TX 76798.  Upon receipt we will cancel your yearbook order and send a confirmation email for your records.

9. What is the last day to cancel my yearbook?

May 1st is the final day to cancel a yearbook purchase.  That’s the date we notify our publisher of  yearbook totals and incur our costs. Any purchases made after May 1st are non-refundable.

10. I did not like my portrait taken. Are retakes available?
  • Freshman and Senior portraits are taken by our professional photographers at Lauren Studios and will not be able to be retaken unless approved by the Lauren Studios.
  • Sophomores and Juniors can retake their photos if pop-up dates are still available. You can find our remaining portrait dates under the “PORTRAITS” tab.
11. When will I receive my yearbook?

Yearbooks should be received by September 1st the following academic year.  If not received by September 30th please contact our office.

Past yearbooks order will be mailed within two weeks of payment received.

12. Do you ship internationally?

We do not mail internationally.  International students will be contacted for a U.S. address in April/May prior to mail out.  If the student does not reply the yearbook will be held in the yearbook office in the Castellaw Communications Center room 217 for pickup.

13. I am a senior, may I submit a picture from the photographer of my choice?

Seniors may not submit their own photo.  Baylor University is contractually obligated to use Lauren Studios for all senior portraits featured in the yearbook.

14. Can I purchase yearbooks from previous years?

We have a limited number of yearbooks from previous years for sale going as far back as the 1950s.  Please contact terri_evans@baylor.edu to see if the year you want is available.

15. Who creates the Roundup yearbook?

A team of 10 Baylor students in the Student Media department create the Roundup yearbook each year.  Baylor has been publishing the yearbook since 1896.
